Yoga
Being ‘in a state of embodied awareness’ means being fully present in your body, aware of your sensations, and experiencing your emotions directly, rather than just thinking about them. It's about recognising how your body reflects your inner state and using that awareness to deepen your understanding of yourself.
Here's a more detailed look at what embodied awareness entails:
Sensory Awareness:
Paying attention to the sensations in your body, like pressure, temperature, or movement.
Emotional Awareness:
Recognising and feeling your emotions, rather than suppressing or avoiding them.
Body-Mind Connection:
Understanding that your mind and body are interconnected and influence each other.
Presence:
Being fully engaged in the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.
By cultivating embodied awareness, you can:
Improve self-regulation: become more attuned to your body's signals, helping you respond to stress and emotions in a more balanced way.
Enhance self-awareness: gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Promote physical and mental well-being: reduce tension, increase flexibility, and cultivate a sense of calm and peace.
Deepen relationships: become more present and connected with others.
During our morning yoga session, you’ll be guided into a state of ‘embodied awareness’ by exploring various yogic practices including:
Breath awareness
Somatic movement
Flowing movements
Yin and restorative practice
Deep guided relaxation
Mindfulness Meditation
